About Sri Lanka Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association

As a result of the discussions made by founder members in 1993 at Capri Hotel, Sri Lanka Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association was launched with the intention of formulating some sort of unity between entrepreneurs and also to have a better representation to encounter issues confronted by the traders in occasions where team work is essential. It is noteworthy to mention the untiring efforts of Mr.A.A. Piyasena – Sena Motors who(President 1995 & 2006) initiated the concept and following gentlemen gave the most required boost and chipped in with their contributions

As a permanent name for the association and office bearers couldn’t be appointed during the first discussion with the members of around 15 to 20, Mr. Ranjith Perera and Mr. Nanayakkara were appointed as acting President and acting Secretary subsequently.

After two weeks of the first gathering, second meeting was held with wide representation of members at Hotel Renuka

First Annual General Meeting(AGM) was held at Sausiripaya Colombo 7 where the appointment of office bearers, committee and adapting of a constitution with a name for the association were preceded.

As the events and activities of the association are gathering momentum process of handing over the reins to younger generation is now taking place

Mr. RanjithDahanaya Dahanayaka Motors Mr. Vinod Arosha Mallika Motors,Mr. Manjula Smarasinghe Samarasinghe Motors,Mr. Piyal Lokugamage Ajantha Motors,Nalaka Perera Leela Motors, and Mr.Mohan Jayawardana Stassen Motors are dedicated to the continued sustenance with an add colour and freshness to the association

Aims and inclination of the association

• Ensure the betterment of the members of Sri Lanka Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association
• Corporative interference with the controversial situation that members face and encourage them to over come those issues
• Develop the unity and corporation of the members
• Support the government in common issues like war or natural dissates
• To asisit under privilled fellow citizens and peopled who are effected natural disasted like Tsunami or cyclones.
